Sculptor
Enquire about Neil Welch

Neil Welch, British sculptor, born in the heart of the potteries, Staffordshire where he still works from his studio.

Neil left school at the age of 16 with A grades in art and gained a two year apprenticeship at the New Victoria theatre as a stage set and props designer, here he discovered a love of sculpture which has never left him.

He had a strong desire to learn from the master sculptors of the past and so before becoming a freelance sculptor he spent seven years studying as a figurative “in house” sculptor for Wedgwood. The curves of the human form are overwhelmingly complex and Neil’s extraordinary talent for capturing the fleeting gestures and mood in his studies have seen him receive commission after commission.

Neil is celebrated as one of the most talented artists living and working in the Britain today.
Each artwork is a labour of love and Neil personally overseas every unique patination working closely with the foundry to produce the best possible finishes. His bronze editions sell out quickly as his work has become very sought after in recent years.
