Wedding and Engagement Rings

Louise has been a jeweller for the past 15 years and designs and makes jewellery at the Saltbox Workshop. Louise works in gold and silver with diamonds and other precious stones. Commissions are undertaken for individual designs from wedding bands and engagement rings to contemporary earrings, necklaces, cufflinks and brooches.

The rings are made to your specific requirement ie. size, finish and type and size of stone.   We can select stones for you to come and view at the gallery.  All the stones are conflict free. Louise encourages people to come to the gallery to discuss design ideas for specially crafted pieces, which can then be made for you by Louise at the workshop individually. Louise is able to advise on ring sizing, re-sizing, adaptation of existing jewellery pieces and repairs. About Louise

Since Louise graduated from York St. John with a degree in Art and Jewellery Design she has been passionate about fine craft and contemporary art. As a new graduate Louise worked for jewellery designer Robert Feather in York where she was able to continue her learning in necessary skills and techniques. It was also a wonderful opportunity for her to appreciate some of the highest quality jewellery and assist in the making of it. Louise’s inspiration for making jewellery today is the desire to create something beautiful. This stems from her early childhood spent on the island of Bermuda where she was soaked in sun and surrounded by beautiful shells and fish. Louise believes this was the beginning of her love of colour, form and texture. Today Louise lives in North Yorkshire with her family and is stimulated by the breathtaking surrounding scenery of the moors and coast.
